Registration for the Yaa Halla, Y'all 2013

Yellow Rose of Texas Belly Dance Competition has closed.

THE CATEGORIES:

Winners of a category in the previous year's competition may not compete in the same category the following year.  (Example:  If you won in the Rising Star category in 2012, you may not compete in that category in 2013)   However, if you placed second or third in any category, you may compete in the same category this year.

Category Requirements

Rising Star Solo - Under 5 years experience in dance and/or pre-professional, non-restaurant performer, a non-teacher, and may be Tribal/Fusion/Alternative or Cabaret

Duet/Trio - Any length of experience dancing, and may be Tribal/Fusion/Alternative or Cabaret

Tribal/Fusion Professional Solo - 5 years or more experience in dance, and/or teacher and/or paid professional, restaurant performer, and must be Tribal/Fusion/Alternative

Troupe (4 performers or more) - Any length of experience dancing, may be Tribal/Fusion/Alternative and/or Cabaret

Cabaret Professional Solo - 5 years or more experience in dance, and/or teacher and/or paid professional, restaurant performer, and must be Cabaret

The times allowed for the Yellow Rose of Texas Belly Dance Award performances for ALL CATEGORIES are:

Rising Star: Up to 4 minutes
Professional Solo:  Up to 5 minutes
Duet/Trio: Up to 5 minutes
Troupe (4 or more performers): Up to 7 minutes

Trophy, Cash and Additional Prizes!!!

First Place Winners are invited, and should be prepared, to perform as special guest dancers in Saturday Night's Gala Show of Stars!

First Place Winners will be awarded a trophy, cash and additional prizes, PLUS  be acknowledged on the website and in an upcoming issue of The Belly Dance Chronicles Magazine.

There will be a Show of Stars Thursday & Friday while the votes are tallied.

*** Voting for the Yellow Rose of Texas Belly Dance Competition will be a combination of the audience's Peoples Choice, and votes from a judges' panel of acclaimed Professionals in our field.

Ballots will be handed out at the beginning of each category each night.

Only audience members who are present for the beginning of each category will be eligible to vote!!!
