What's New at Yaa Halla 2008...

• The Friday Night People's Choice Awards:  On Friday, People's Choice Awards will be given in the categories of  Solo Rising Star performer (non-professional), Solo Cabaret Professional Experienced Star performer, Solo Alternative Star performer, Duet/Trio Small Group Stars, and Troupe Stars (four performers or more) for the night.  The Cabaret and Alternative categories are new for Yaa Halla, Y'all 2008!  Winners will be awarded a trophy PLUS be invited to perform as special guest dancers in Saturday Night's Show of the Stars!  Winners will also be acknowledged in an upcoming issue of The Chronicles Magazine.

• Also new for 2008 -- Yaa Halla's Habibi (Sweetheart) Award - to be chosen by the Contestants themselves!

All Friday night performers will be participating in the People's Choice Awards.
There will be a show of Stars while the votes are tallied.

• Thursday - Tribal Workshop:  Fabulous Tribal Class featuring Zoë Jakes of California

• Drumming on Saturday and Sunday: Weekend Classes with amazing musicians Tobias Roberson and SuSu Pampanin

• Sunday - Zill Rhythms for Dancers and Drummers: A workshop to keep everyone on the beat featuring Fahtiem of California.

• Show Me the Money!: Fantastic Thursday seminar with Amaya and MiaNaja featuring essential business information for the Professional and Semi-Professional Dancer!
