Shara began bellydancing with Isis in 1997. Her son was just 7 1/2 weeks old, and she was needing time away from the house. She's gone on to perform at Hawkwood, Scarborough, Arbor Daze, Oktoberfest, and haflas. Shara also sews her own costumes, a skill she did not have previous to dance. Some of her awards include Most Improved Dancer and Star Dancer. She is a fun, energetic performer who says she continues to dance to "let my spirit soar!"
