Inspired by many years of admiring performances by Isis and the Star Dancers at Scarborough Faire, and with lots of nudging from her husband, Farida began studying with Isis in 2001. She has performed at nursing homes, Mayfest, Arbordaze, Dance for the Planet, Denton Arts and Jazz, Scarborough, and studio haflas.

Farida’s passion for dance includes other dance styles as well. If you watch her performances you will be able to catch elements borrowed from styles like ATS, bhangra, salsa and hip-hop.

Farida is a member of the Isis Professional Performing Company, co-teaches Tribal Fusion with Tyra, and is a member of the infamous Desert YaYa’s.
